Course Description

In this thirty-six hour, hands-on course participants will configure, assemble and then write the necessary software to gain a true understanding of the Allen-Bradley ControlNet software.

Who Should Attend

Any individual who requires specific knowledge of a ControlNet system for the purpose of familiarization, design or installation.

Prerequisites

Participants must have a thorough knowledge of Microsoft Windows 95 or Microsoft Windows NT, Allen-Bradley ladder logic and experience with the examination of interrupt routines.

Learning Objectives

Participants will learn to:

Design a ControlNet system

Configure and write a program for the ControlNet system

Integrate a ControlNet, Remote I/O and SLC-500/PLC-5 (including Ethernet systems)

Convert an existing PLC/SLC system to the ControlNet system

Troubleshoot a corrupt ControlNet processor and system
