Course Description

This thirty-six hour course provides a thorough, hands-on familiarization with Allen-Bradley PLC-5Ís. PLC hardware and more advanced troubleshooting techniques are heavily emphasized.

Prerequisites

Maintenance & Troubleshooting of the Allen-Bradley PLC-5 Level One (PL 251) or equivalent knowledge.

Format

Hands-on Workshop. One lab station for every two participants. Software used in this course can be selected from the following: Allen-Bradley 6200 Series, ICOM AI Series, Rockwell WinLogic or RSLogix 5.

Troubleshoot using all instructions of the PLC-5 family of programmable controllers

Effectively use a personal computer for entering, editing and troubleshooting programs

Utilize the diagnostic capabilities of the PLC-5 systems to aid in troubleshooting
