Prerequisites

Participants should have a working knowledge of electromechanical control devices and be familiar with relay ladder logic.

Format

Hands-on Workshop. One lab station for every two participants. Software in this course can be selected from the following: Allen-Bradley APS, ICOM AI Series, WinLogic or RSLogix 500.

Participants will learn to:

Identify the hardware components of the SLC-500 PLC

Configure and install a SLC-500 PLC

Develop and interpret simple programs utilizing all instructions available

Troubleshoot programs and isolate systems faults within the SLC-500 system

Properly use peripheral devices to store, copy and print programs
